19th week

As you can see from last weeks post the team has managed to get a few more responses than originally. We’ve found some interesting information that both myself and Nicole was happy about- sad but true.

The start of the seminar Mark speaks about the Excel course, something that me and Nicole have both agreed that we need a lot of help on. Therefore, just waiting till the date they release the dates dot sign up for it. it’d be a really useful specially as I heard the other day that my friend got a quick call the next day after her interview for another ‘task’ to complete. For her to find out it was a test on excel!! She had experience on this (unlike me) so she was fine.

These are some of the recommendations for the festival: Better door policy, advertising e.g. social media, billboards, radio, flyers and secondary schools. Family orientated activities to look at beautiful day’s festival and bearded theory festival as both festivals are safe for all ages. More child friendly events. Therefore me and Nicole have decided to create 2 posters that would be used in secondary schools as this is a place where we hadn’t thought of putting posters up. Nicole was really creative with the backgrounds and I thought more about the social media aspect of it such as including twitter/facebook/Instagram/snapchat name on the poster.

Action plan:

Meet next Sunday 12 noon at business school to shoot

18th week

Professional week gave the team and myself a chance to bond with one another and off course talk about the brief! However, really wish I was a morning person, because of this I’ve arrived late. Luckily I wasn’t the only one, as a team we’ve decided to meet up after this seminar. Today I got the chance to ask Mark about using PESTLE and SWOT in our video, I wasn’t sure if they both had to be about our company. From this I found that it could but it would also be beneficial in doing it on our other competitors- so we started researching about Glastonburry.

An extra 3 hours later after the seminar… we’ve planned what we were going to include in the video. During this process, there was a lot of confusion as we weren’t too sure what theme we wanted the video to be. Mark didn’t want it to be dull and had to be fun at the same time. We had ideas from going to the park to being in an actual festival but then we had to be realistic on the sound for the video. Being in an open space could make the video sound really quiet. As we had heard that some of the other teams were doing a PowerPoint, we wanted to be a little unique from them. This is where the confusion arose as some of us were scared that we would be in the wrong for not following the others. Me and Emma insisted on creating a video with some of the members in the group so it would be more personal to the client rather than them hearing a voice.
I’ve really enjoyed this meeting as it was useful to get everyone else’s opinion across and decide as a group what was best for the video.

P.S finally got some responses from the questionnaire

Professional development week

So far, I have been trying to 'organise' my work i say.........
However, it's not always as easy! I have been trying to get myself into a routine so i have mainly focused on going to the gym and cooking healthy meals to enhance my diet!

I love eating healthy fruit but i also love chocolate so i decided to dip strawberries in warm galaxy chocolate sprinkled with cracklers!
I used these as assignment planning treats, so far i've ate half of them and got round to planning half of a report (whoops)

17th week

This seminar has been about *creativity*. This has been useful for me as I’ve been trying to develop my creative cv. I would like to think I’m creative but to be honest the best creative ideas come out when I’m working as a group. I feel that someone’s suggestion can create an even better idea in another person’s mind. One of my classmate’s designs websites and has it as a part time job-impressive…
Using this session on creativity I asked if he could look over my cv, he was so helpful and loved his suggestion of: ‘’instead of putting a bar code on your cv (which took you onto a YouTube link of me speaking about myself) put a Snapchat bar code as bar codes can be seen as old fashioned whilst Snapchat Is more up to date’’

We’ve spend the morning structuring the video as we really want to do well so having a clear structure on what we need to do will make it clearer for us to follow it on the day. We’ve delegated task to complete such as creating personas and prepping how we’re gong to shoot for the video.
