10th week!!

This is my second week of not attending as I had to go home during the middle of the week.  This lesson has been crucial for my grade and I’m nervous I’ve missed out on important information. I have been able to look on the slides and reap upon theories such as ‘reflective theory’ that I know I have to include. Although, I’m wondering whether I’m able to embed any team group theories in my PDR. I have discussed this with a class member which she has wrote a post on Moodle, so just waiting on the reply with that (fingers cross).

Plan of action
·        Look through PDP on what I’ve achieved
·        What I can improve on
·        What the team hasn’t completed and should’ve
·        Mange my time

·        Encourage my team on how well we’ve done as we could be in a worst position. Always positive thoughts!

Ninth week

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend this seminar due to not managing my time properly with another assignment that was due in today. I’ve felt stressed recently as I planned my morning to have an early start to the day (7am) to finish the remaining tasks. However, I had more to complete than what I thought, which was really disappointing as I didn’t want to let my team down.

50/50
Luckily the tutorial was focused more on the PDR and the progressed made regarding our PDP sheets. This gave me a sense of relief as I didn’t feel like I had missed much on the team project working.  On the other hand, the downside to this meant I couldn’t participate in the class discussion on the PDR assignment.

Plan of action
·        Think positive
·         Look through first week’s blog for motivation

·         Moodle slides

Eight week

Dejavuuuu…
Today has been about competitive analysis and how we see other competitors. How it’s effecting other customers. In groups we looked at PESTEL which stands for political, economic, technology and legal forces. This helps to analyse the factors that are effecting the business’s performance. I was able to understand this section of this week’s objectives as I’m currently in the process of researching in depth about this particular section (PESTEL). Therefore, I feel fortunate to have background knowledge on these key terms and makes it easier to follow Marks seminar.

Another theory was learnt called Porters five forces:
It includes factors of barriers to entry, threat of substitutes, competitive rivalry, power of suppliers and power of buyers. This enables to position the business against its competitors.
